Who developed ATN Nutrition technology? Gary Avignon, a nutrition consultant and psychotherapist who has specialized with nutrition, health, psychological, overeating, and overweight issues since 1989. His extensive resume includes a position as Director of the Weight & Health Risk Management Department of a large multi-specialty medical clinic in Austin.
Neither. ATN technology is not a typical "one size fits all 'program.'" Instead, the principles that govern weight and health are taught so that the individual can fit his/her idiosyncracies within the parameters of these principles. As a result, each "program" is a customized endeavor. As these principles are honored, the body quickly begins to return to a state of health. As the body becomes healthier, it manages symptoms, including weight difficulty. As ATN clients truly learn what foods and lifestyle behaviors work for their bodies, and which work against, they understand how to keep their fat switch turned off so they sustain their weight loss for life.
ATN Technology is a balanced nutritional approach that is customized for and to each client. It takes your "ATN Rating" (how sensitive you are to carbohydrate), and designs a food plan tailored to your needs, preferences, and lifestyle. Through your experience we determine what your tolerance for carbohydrate and caloric intake is. We know that the intake of certain healthy fat is essential for optimal health; at the same time, level of fat intake is important since fat is more than twice as calorically dense as protein and carbohydrate.
ATN clients lose between 1/2 a pound per week and 4 pounds per week depending upon several factors:
