One of the questions so frequently asked is, "Does insurance cover your services?" We have REALLY good news for you. While insurance companies generally DO NOT cover weight control services, they DO cover compulsive eating and depression when services are provided by an appropriately licensed professional (which we are). Approximately 80% of our clientele meets the diagnostic criteria for these conditions, which are evaluated in the comprehensive evaluation. Additionally, insurance companies generally pay for "Medical Nutrition Therapy" if recommended by a doctor. The typical rate of reimbursement is 50% to 80% of the cost of services for somewhere between 15 and 50 visits per year. Of course, we cannot guarrantee that your insurance company will pay for our services, but we will be happy to verify your insurance benefits with your insurance carrier. To do this, we will need a copy of the front and back of your insurance card, and the date of birth of the person whose name the policy is in.. |
